Club team tryouts (U8-U17) are open through June. To schedule a tryout, please email us at: info@losangelessoccer.org.
Los Angeles Soccer Academy will improve the soccer skills, confidence and health of every player in a nurturing and safe environment. We will strive to reverse the trend of winning at all cost and focus on developing creativity, vision and character. Our USSF and NSCAA licensed coaches will challenge every player to reach their full potential, both on and off the soccer field.
We currently have four options:
The club team program is for players ready to play in a competitive Cal South soccer league against other clubs in Los Angeles. Tryouts are year-round. We currently have over 10 soccer teams in several boys and girls age brackets. Click the above link for details.
Our quarterly academy program bridges the gap between AYSO and club soccer and is intended for players between 7 and 17 years old who are not quite ready for club but are ready to train in a fun, challenging and innovative soccer environment. Academy players play soccer games every other Sunday. All academy players are welcome to tryout for our club teams at any time during their training. Click the above link for details.
DSL is a 4v4 youth league for 4-7 year olds (co-ed). There are only 6 players per team to insure quality playing time during games. Every player has a chance to develop their technical skills while playing in each of the four areas of the field. Our soccer coaches focus on fun, teamwork, creativity, responsibility and confidence. Our seasons are 10-weeks long, with 3-week breaks between seasons. Click the above link for details.
It's time for soccer fun in the sun! Coach James and Coach Alveraz will run an innovative and exciting development camp this July. They'll be teaching the finer points of technical development through Coerver and Street Soccer training in a high-energy, music-filled weekly session. We promise you, every player will walk away from this camp with an entire new set of effective soccer skills, guaranteed! Click the above link for details.
Los Angeles Soccer Academy was established in 2011 by Alveraz Ricardez and Alex Mitrovich to provide the west LA community with a new approach to youth soccer development. LASA has since grown to over 250 families and has recently acquired the services of James Brininger, our new Technical Director who has incorporated an innovative street soccer, futsal and coerver hybrid program to our coaching curriculum to take our soccer training to the next level.
TopDEVELOPMENT PHILOSOPHY
LASA believes in technical development first. We encourage creativity and vision when faced with a challenge on the field. Our players are taught confidence and control. We believe in nurturing the player that wants to dribble the ball while exploring their options in any given situation during a game. By developing individual skills first, the soccer player becomes composed on the ball and is more open to team concepts when under pressure. By mastering their technical ability first, the player becomes well prepared for the competitive level.
Our soccer training combines the possession principles of Spain, the 4v4 foundations of Holland, the flair and creativity of Brazil, and the determination, hustle and pride of US soccer. In addition to developing individual skills, our USSF licensed coaches also teach principals of shape, teamwork, attack, vision, penetration, support, mobility, width, improvisation, pressure, cover, balance, delay, compactness, restraint and the counter-attack. At the end of every practice we incorporate match free-play to insure we allow the game to teach our players. All of our practices are founded on simple soccer, played smart.
We believe our focus on technical development will lead to a more well-rounded player and a stronger soccer IQ. Our approach is designed around the US Soccer Federation's Best Practices as well as proven techniques taught in several international world-class youth academies.
